The smell of smoke just hangs heavily in the air. Also, the casino is okay but remember there are really no non-smoking areas. I don't know if they would have moved us, we didn't ask. If you go to a concert they usually warn you about obstructions in your view and charge less - but not here. We paid as much as the people looking out over the beautiful scenery.
I had even questioned the front desk upon check-in about this room and she sort of avoided the question. I think if I were to be critical it would be the following: We had booked in advance and in this beautiful area we got a room that faced a wall and air conditioning unit. The rooms are very clean, comfortable, and attractive. The staff is terrific - especially the Bellmen and Parking staff. If you do prefer to park in the lot down the hill, they have shuttles. It has valet parking for hotel guests, which is free. I love to play the games and he is not a great fan but gave in to me. This particular area is a great favorite of my husband's. We are an older, active couple, who enjoy traveling. It was a relaxing little getaway weekend for our family. One of our favorite parts of the hotel was the seating area that has a piano and the most breathtaking view of the mountains I have ever seen! We did stop at the casino for a little while, it was nothing special, everything you would expect at a nice casino. The indoor/ outdoor pool was really nice and very clean. The bed was comfortable but the blankets could have been warmer I did get a little cold at night. The view was great and room service was quick and delicious. The room was beautiful! And the bathroom was gorgeous! I loved the vanity and the shower. But after that was over and we finally got to our room I was pleasantly surprised. We were in line to check in for an hour! I don't know why this was but it was a little frustrating. The lobby was beautiful but check in was a little hectic. The location is beautiful even though you're in the middle of nowhere you are surrounded by beautiful mountains and trees. Our family wanted a little getaway for a weekend without traveling too far so we decided to stay here and do a little swimming and gambling.
